Description
The Zia sun symbol comes from the living cultural tradition of Zia Pueblo and is also familiar from the New Mexico state flag. Its central circle and four groups of rays reference the importance of four within the Zia teachings and cosmology.
A solid red circle anchors four sets of four parallel rays extending up, down, left, and right. The narrow lines and exact cross-shaped symmetry create a spacious geometric emblem with strong contrast against the black tank.
Style and Wear:
Echo the red sun with terracotta sneakers or a muted red outer layer. Dark denim or sand-colored trousers keep the four-direction geometry crisp and uncluttered.
